My ATC in Quilting Arts Magazine

February/March 2013 issue of Quilting Arts, Page 80. Check out the ATCs! You'll see one of mine.
Marilyn League and I got our "What's in your Heart" ATCs
in the February/March 2013 Quilting Arts magazine.
My September 2012 FiberAntics ATC swap theme coincided with a Quilting Arts Artist Trading Cards (ATC) Call for Entries. Some of my traders also submitted ATCs to the magazine and so far, two of us have been published, Marilyn League [Memphis, TN] and me. I don't have my copy of the magazine yet, so I've borrowed this pic from Marilyn's blog. Thanks for the nice write-up on the FiberAntics ATC swaps, Marilyn.

I also received this ATC jewel in trade from Ruth Lenardozzi for participating in the QA ATC swap.

I'm celebrating my good fortune for having my ATC published with a glass of Bully Hill Banty Red to accompany my Chicken Spaghattini Con Crudo dinner from Tony's. I'm sipping the wine from a souvy mug from my grad school roommie, Patty. We roomed together in Rochester, NY, not far from the Finger Lakes region and Bully Hill winery. By the way, in addition to being a fab vintner, Walter S. Taylor, of Bully Hill, is an artist in his own right. He paints, draws and designs the labels for his wines.
It's all so very apropos. Prosit!

ATCs: What's in your heart?

Special people and places, creating memories, and time spent doing something that inspires and brings you joy is what the September Artist Trading Card (ATC) theme—"What's in your heart?"—is all about.

The FiberAntics ATC swap adopted this theme from the Quilting Arts magazine's ATC challenge and swap with the hope that the traders might submit an ATC to this swap as well. Although we'll have to wait until January of next year, it will be fun to get a card in trade from someone new in the wider ATC community. For now, here's what's in the hearts of these artists:
-----
During the month of September, especially during the Jewish Holidays, this ATC artist lights candles in memory of her parents... remembering them with great love.
"Remembering Mom and Dad"
Dancing makes my heart happy (ATC below left). My husband and I make a date to waltz to a special song that we danced to at our wedding reception. Our anniversary is coming up on October 14 and we will dance to it again.

Quilting and other creative endeavors (below right) brings joy to this ATC artist as she pursues her creative side now that she is retired from a career in accounting.

Right: "What's in Your Heart... well Quilting, of course!"
You can just feel the mountain breeze and smell the great outdoors looking at this ATC (below). This ATC artist reminisces on times spent in The Tetons from the Idaho side.
"The mountains are calling and I must go."
Another ATC artist created a patchwork heart (below left) that opens to a lovely reminder that simple moments make great memories.
Left: "The Seasons of my Life."
Right: "In My Heart: My grandchildren"
Cherished memories fill the heart of this ATC artist. She loves spending time with her grandchildren (above right).
